Hi all.

I won't post specific songs, per se but I can recommend certain groups which can stir my musician's blood.
How about:
Emerson Lake and Palmer
Yes
King Crimson
Planet X
Duke Ellington
Thelonius Monk

And as long as I've gotten you to read this far, I may as well indulge in a bit of shameless self-promotion and add my own podcast site for some stuff yours truly has composed :-)

http://ablethevoice.podomatic.com/

I promise: Clicking on that link WILL NOT inject spyware, malware or viruses in your system; I never would have signed up for the site if I even suspected otherwise. It's totally on the up-and-up. Oh, and the rules say "no commercial advertisements". Well "commercial" implies that such a post intends to make a profit from folks here. I don't make a cent on the podcast; quite the reverse- I pay for the service. Anyway, I hope I havn't irritated the great hosts of LHC and/or the forum by doing what I just did and I also hope you enjoy what you hear.
Peace to all
Tom in Florida.

Hope you'll like it.

For cthulhu and dr_mabuse -

Emerson, Lake and Palmer - Pictures at an Exhibition (full concert)

Enjoy !

I didn't realize this show was on YouTube. I have it on DVD- a gift from my brother (another ELP fan). I have no idea where he got it. I recall back in the 70's in Albuquerque, NMex, a certain movie theater had the 94 cent midnight movie (94Rock...94 cents). Anyway one Friday, it was ELP's "Rock and Roll Your Eyes" and was the Pictures show in full. The film was hideously scratched, patched and otherwise nearly torn to shreds but at that time, it was my brother's and my first look at ELP and it was exhilirating.

Well this is a song that is suited for this project, and while I didn't go through all the other posts, you may want to see if you can guess who their talking about.

The meaning to that song has pestered me for years. I still don't know for sure but I'm thinking either Einstein or Bohr.

Oh, and by the way: John Hunt, that ELP video has been removed from you tube for "violations of use". Too bad.
