i have do a single user installation.
when the program start says me (after some minute) that the program can connect to localhost. this is no possible because localhost means the host where the program is installed.
what can i do?

i try to shutdown the firewall and reinstall a program but i have not solve the problem.

please help me

software version number 5.2.13
cpu p4 3ghz ht
1024 mb of ram
windows xp service pack 2 + all update

The localhost connection is correct. BOINC is actual two programs. One program(boinc.exe), responsible for work unit control running in the background. Another program(boincmgr.exe,) which is the user interface. The localhost connection you are seeing is the 'user interface' program talking to the 'work unit' conrol program.
