Now you tell me, when I\'ve

But what I\'m looking for is

graphic/screensaver which
would work independently of
BOINC. ie as a \'regular\'
WINDOWS screensaver.

I concur, screensaver would be a nice edition to this project and it would also help attract new users.

The old screensaver was nice, although having it show the actual science would be better. Sadly, the old screensaver no longer works for me -- I have long since upgraded past BOINC v 5.xx.

Since I give the biggest resource-share to projects doing great science & having cool graphics -- and LHC@home no longer does both -- I will be reducing the resource-share that this project receives.

Welcome to the boards, Ralph,
The screensaver/graphics were dropped here long ago when there was a problem integrating it with, at that time, the latest boinc version where the processing and graphics became serarate items. I believe it was felt that the science was more important so little or no resources were put into finding a fix or developing the graphics.
It might be possible to download one of the amimations here and set your machine to run it as the screensaver although the most efficient use of your computer is to set the screensaver to "Blank screen" so that all the processing power is used on the science.

hi, Ray, i have receiving your message. Ok, i hope on the future the Lhc@home Six Track using the new screeansaver. Many ather scientific project whith BOINC , using the Screeansaver, but not have this problem, i' think many people go to ather project, because Lhc@home Six Track work on back ground. Is fantantastic project ,but looking whith screeansaver the impression for the peaple is to work on first person to this scientific project, This is my dream and wish for the future on Lhc@home Six Track and all Citizen Scientist to work from this Beautifaul project.
