I ran across this PDF file while surfing the net. It studies the resources available through BOINC. It used SETI as their subject to gather their data. A very interesting read to say the least.

Look in the Wiki, search on "Paperes" ... or use the link at the bottom of the page ... it has that paper and quite a few more ...

Links to results published by some of the projects for one thing ... :)
