Running the LHC@Home on a couple computers, one is my laptop and the other is my hardcore gaming rig.

While running the screensaver on the gaming rig, the screensaver will spaz out and I have to reboot the system to regain control.

I know the problem isnt drivers becasue with gaming I have the most stable ones I can find installed.

I know its not an over heating issue because the CPU is around 16 deress C and my video card reports around -10 to -8 degrees C

No I am not making up these numbers, the rig is watercooled and the CPU and GPU have thermoelectric coolers between them and their waterblocks.

The rig is a P4 with an ATI x800 Pro 128mb AGP card

Any idea how to disable ONLY the LHC screensaver without killing all the other BOINC ones?

I know that the BOINC screensavers and ATI dont have a good historical realtionship but I have only run across this issue with LHC and Einstein, and upgrading Einstein to teh beta version foxed teh sreen saver issue there.

Perhaps a beta LHC screensaver?

Unfortunately the current alpha version of LHC isn't much better than the current production version. Maybe next time they will figure out what is causing the problem.
