Although the front page of the site says server up, x,000 work units to crunch, my BOINC client has been unable to get a work unit for a number of days now. How long would you prefer to let your server out of work? 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 days? Friendly yours-> woric

It says "10818 workunits in progress". It doesn't say "10818 work units to crunch".

LHC is concluding its current batch of studies - it says this on the front page. There is currently no work available, but small batches may become available as the LHC team tidy up the loose ends. Then they'll study the results, and maybe issue some new work.

Meanwhile, the physical build of the LHC machine continues. At some point Version 6.5 of the machine build will become available. This is the next revision, with actual measured parameters for the next batch of installed components included. Once 6.5 is released then a whole new batch of studies will be required to fine tune the results. These new studies will provide input to the next phase of construction.

This is the way it is at LHC - sometimes there is no work. That's what you get for participating in a real-world engineering project.
