Sorry to burden with these questions, can't find simple answers anywhere.
1. Is there any advantage to this project (or E@H) in upgrading Boinc Manager from v4.45 to v5.2.2 ?
2. If so, do I need to select "No New Work", wait for WU's to end and then upgrade? Or can I upgrade on the run?
Thanks in advance

There is no "advantage" other than to be running the latest version of the BOINC Client Software. Because there is a fair number of bug fixes and enhancements, that is a personal choice. At the moment, I have not heard of any project raising the "floor" from version 4.19 ...

You can follow the upgrade procedure in the Wiki, and it is conservative with a process for saving a copy of the old system "just in case" ...

Let me know if there are problems ... the difficulty with writing these things is that what is clear to me may not be clear to you ... :)

Always room for improvement ... if I can only get back to work ... :(

No problems at all; up and running again. It took about 15 minutes to find and read instructions, and then perform them. E@H started straight up (screensaver working too); waiting for next batch of LHC@H to become available. Article is well written and easy to follow.

Well ... boinc screensaver was working. Went away for 1/2 hour and returned to see my notebook screen being driven at a very high vertical sync rate - too fast for the video card. Back to "Blank" screensaver.
