Yesterday I wrote which of my hosts are corrupt and I wrote, that the one was okay after connecting the server. But after some minutes it's like before.

http://lhcathome.cern.ch/show_host_detail.php?hostid=67909 This is my actual host. Now it's okay, but in some time, it will be like before.

http://lhcathome.cern.ch/show_host_detail.php?hostid=59195 This is my old host.

I got this message from this host:

10/26/2005 2:33:17 AM||request_reschedule_cpus: project op

As you can see by clicking on that host, I am nowhere near my daily quota of 100 wu's.

Doesn't look to me like you need another data point but here it is anyway: host 46266 which was fine earlier today. I assume it got corrupted when validating result 4027970. CPU type through average download rate, and venue are corrupted. Client 4.45 last contact Oct 26 01:06:06 UTC.

Chrulle,

I created new checkpoint this morning at 05:40UTC (screenprint)
host 57189 went corrupt at 06:05UTC when WU 791963 received credit.
hosts 64792, 47319 and 57272 still have credit pending.
hosts 68233 and 47322 have no pending credit.
all (except 57189) seem to be ok at the time of this post.
I have suspended network activity on the hosts mentioned in this post.

Using 4.45 on all of my computers. After resetting the location and manually updating, my hosts showed ok. But now they're corrupted again. Will it change anything if I upgrade all hosts to the new client?

host 68100 had contact with the server last 25 Oct 2005 23:19:54 UTC (around when I detached again.)

I did check my data at the time and all of it was still there, now it's all corrupt. Using BOINC 5.2.2 on Windows 2000 SP4.

If your host is getting corrupted write here what version of the boinc client you are using, and when you connected last. Are all your hosts getting corrupted?

Hi Chrulle,
I reported corruption this morning approx. 0700 UTC on two of my 3 PCs. Corruption continues as third PC was corrupted (I mean database record) right now.
It wozuldn't bother me much but the problem is that rewrites also No. of WUs allowed per day. This practically cuts me off from your source. I cannot get any fresh WU any longer.

this host is corrupted

http://lhcathome.cern.ch/show_host_detail.php?hostid=66135

last update

26 Oct 2005 3:08:27 UTC

[edit]
i did the manual update twice and the second time i didn't get the new host venue message... does that mean all is ok and i should keep an eye on things or am i barking up the wrong tree?
[/edit]
I will try a manual update as others have tried. However, I new at this, so I may come back looking for help...

guys, please read this before posting any more "corrupt" hosts.
Chrulle changed the validator about 11 hours ago and this seems to have fixed the problem.

if your host is still displaying corrupted information, set it's location to the correct one and perform a manual update on your client or wait for the first result to be validated and credit awarded.

The small problem with it being: If you detached in the hours before Chrulle fixed it, yet the validator passed your utopia anyway, you are now stuck with one or multiple "corrupt" descriptions. There is no way to merge these with the present correct version.

Well, unless we have to wait 14 days to 2.5 years (guesstimate taken from Seti) for the last entry in the list to disappear, then we can delete the extra computer(s).

partly true,
if the detached host still had pending credits after the validator was updated, the host-info should be updated when the credit is granted, so merging should be possible.
if you detached before the validator was updated, but had no pending credits on that host, it will remain a "polution" in your hostlist.
