It would be nice if the staff at LHC could tell us something about that.
Is there any problem for lhc to upgrad at the moment?
Must they finish ongoing project / projects before they can upgrade?

Let us know something about what is going on please.

This is something that could be posted on the frontpage. Keep the crunchers up to date, they like that!

I agree with that. As long as the servewon't be compliant, some of us won't crunch for LHC. So a planned date would be nice.

Thanks guys

...and as long as that happens, my rank will go up and up and up!

So detach! Help my stats! I won't complain! O:)

Hey Paul, my ears have been burning all afternoon and I just knew there was someone somewhere casting all sorts of evil spells and incantations, whilst trying to impede my progress :). Now that I've found you, I think I'll go change my 60/40 EAH/LHC resource share to 80/20 the other way just to bring the axe down a little less gently :).

Actually mate, I'll tell ya what I'll do :). I'll cruise along for a bit until I'm right on your tailgate and then I'll lower the LHC share to 30 and then to 20. Should be just enough to still keep slowly overtaking. I might have to bump it up to 25 to keep right on your hammer :). Should be a real gas!!! :). Then, just when you are about to be first to 100K, I'll put the foot down and pip you on the post - just like a Melbourne Cup finish!! :).

Seriously, I was interested in what you had to say about your 5 year old son. I've got a 2 year old grandson who is really sharp and a real delight to play with. I reckon I'm going to have a ball inciting his interest in the wonders of the cosmos too, just like you and your son.

Good on you Paul, and take care of that little "Gas Giant". The country needs plenty more of 'em.

Cheers,
Gary.

G'day Gary,

Go for it. I am just really surprised that a guy with access to just a few computers could even be #1 especially since I was not giving LHC 100% resource share, so basking in the glory for so long (it has been a month or 2 now) has made me want to stay there and it hurts a little to be overtaken, but it is not unexpected. A bit like the recession we had to have in the early '90s. But just remember about that pesky thing called pending credit, it's like turbo lag in a car, you put your foot down and have to wait for the car to really accelerate (damn...maybe I shouldn't have told you that...I might have hit 100k before you)

It's been over a year since I wrote my profile (so I should update it). Like lots of 6 yr old boys I know their interest in what their parents tell them or show them is waining quickly. Man they start to grow up fast these days. It must be the easy access to information at their figure tips and everything being such big wiz-bang. So his inquisitivenes about the heavens above has dropped off since nothing much happens up there when you look up. But cars! Man it's everthing cars now.

I'm looking forward to seeing Makybe Diva winning he cup, she sounds like a very special horse. Oh and I'm really looking forward to the Cup day "holiday".

Drop by IRC on the freenode network channel #boinc sometime for a chat (that goes for all of you out there).

Live long anc crunch.

Paul.

THANKS folks I know that you put in some long hours on this one, everything seems to be running fine from a crunching point of view from this end. Did have 2 hosts on the LHC server that corrupted over night, using fix of updating (home/work/school)(see other thread) from a corrupted value of 0 and than doing a forced user update from the host was able to fix back to normal. All work units have gone through without a hitch and appear to be getting credit properly. Its good to be running LHC again.
