I would suggest you download again from

http://boinc.berkeley.edu/download.php

then just reinstall over your current application.

I added LHC to BOINC a month ago, and have never been able to download one work unit. Now I'm getting "Master fetch file failed" messages. I'm on a Mac; OS 10.4.2; BOINC 4.4.3. I'm getting close to giving up.

There is no MAC application for LHC@Home. The chosen compiler does not compile for MAC operating systems. The reason they use this compiler is that it gives the most consistent cross platform results, and with the application they're using consistency is critical. As it stands they have no definite plans to produce a MAC version.

Sorry - but I think you'll have to give up with LHC.

We wrote a little guide: Choosing a BOINC Powered Project.

It even has a cross-reference table in it ... :)

Thanks, when I look at the guides all I see are the errors ... and gaps ... :(

Ah well, I get SOMETHING down on paper at least ... last night I could not sleep so I wrote (FINALLY!) the upgrade guide for Windows ...

still have some surgury to do though ...

Anyway, lots of stuff to read ... as I get things done the Wiki has evverything I wish UCB and the projects told me about BOINC ...
