If it is out of work how did I get a new download puzzling!
Oh, that's easy to explain, if you refer to this WU. One host had a client error, so a new result was issued. So consider yourself lucky. Michael Team Linux Users Everywhere |

Is this a record for LHC? It's the highest i've seen it. Server Status Up, 159397 workunits to crunch 36229 workunits in progress 39 concurrent connections It's not the speed, but the quality - Until I get a faster computer. |

[b]GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR! I hate it when this happens.........the torture of the dialup. Einstein@Home - 2005-09-17 15:26:07 - Started download of l1_0251.5 Once in a while I get this pc to crash while doing the d/l - u/l (Einstein freezes until I hit the update a few times) And it makes me d/l this 6.09 MB which takes my dialup about an hour to do. Which means I can't get online with the other one next to me until this gets done. Yeah I know this is LHC and not Einstein but I was here when it happened. And was trying to send in all of the LHC wu's that were finished on this pc. (I'm just typing to myself in case you wondered) Volunteer Mad Scientist For Life |

[b]Yeah devn, I started with the seti classic back in 2000 with this dialup (my only other choice here is a satellite isp) I still run classic when either Einstein or LHC is out of work. (I ran the new seti for a couple days but prefer running Einstein and LHC on my pc's) But today it took an hour to d/l so I just decided to go take a shower and then go drive my car down to the garage and lock it up and back to the house and upstairs to take a look and it was still just up to 90% on the d/l. So as usual I sat and stared at the monitor waiting to finish so I could switch over to this pc (my master computer) and send in the LHC's and Einstein's and get this one more work to do. This one had no problem.......heck maybe I will check my email Volunteer Mad Scientist For Life |
