(ORIGIN E-MAIL from Rytis)
Hi all,

I would have been impressed if any of you contacted me, and now I got almost
10 emails telling me about the problem. I really appreciate that.

There is a big problem with the server's hard disk. We will try to recover
the data if it is possible, but we cannot guarantee anything. If the worst
comes, the latest data we have backed up is 2005-08-23, and we may continue
from that if the recovery process is unsuccesful.

Please spread the word about the server, let people know. I have prepared a
small newsflash, but I cannot post it, as the server is unoperational. If
you could post it where it is relevant, I would thank you.

---
The hard disk of the server crashed, and everything modified after
2005-08-23 17:40 UTC is lost if the recovery procedure is unsuccessful. You
can and should abort rsa workunits starting with number 1834, as these are
no longer existing in our database, and will be resent once we are back and
running again, however, the time for the restart is not yet determined.
---

Jim Baize is trying to get the server recovered as you can see in this thread

Hi, at least the M@h-website is running again and Rytis posted some good news in the message boards:

The server is back online on my laptop. I am (most probably) getting the database recovered tomorrow, and then I will put it back here and enable the scheduler.
I am considering buying proper hosting for the project. I will phone some hosting companies here tomorrow and get the details.

The front news are similar to yesterday's statement.

@littleBouncer: I hope you didn't leave the "PrimeGrid"-project forever...
I could also create a german-speaking thread there, then some probs can be easier explained, und man muss nicht alles auf Englisch übersetzen, wobei ich mich dauernd vertipp ;-)
