Hehe, from the posting 9470 u need only get 5 down:

"We have no server or technical problems. But as John so clearly said:

"... It depends on what the scientists need, and when they need it."

I believe the current set of studies is not yet exhausted and more work will be submitted soon.

Thanks to all our crunchers for their enthusiasm!

Ben Segal / LHC@home"

Maybe this week, maybe next week, we don't know.

The person that normally submits jobs is on vacation until the 25th of august so we may not have work until then.

It should be great to have such kind of information on the first page of LHC@home's website.

Many users are very motivated to provide hign LHC's crunching ...
So now let's wait a little bit more ....

Could that person interrupt his/her vacation or terminate it, just to come here and prepare the next work, please?

It's just a question, might some more persons would support this wish too.

Is the assumption correct, in a few days (not weeks or even month)
there will be a chance for new work?

thanks

I think he/she deserves their vacation.

I wouldn't want it interrupted like that.

Perhaps he/she's not able to get back.

My parents rang from Switzerland today to say they weren't able to get to their hotel because of flooding and that they have to spend the night somewhere else.

Guess I was part of the lucky few as well then -- once LHC WU on one machine =D Must be results that passed deadline and are being redistributed.

There are users who have received more than one workunit, e.g. http://lhcathome.cern.ch/results.php?hostid=38161.
