I just downloaded the first units from this morning's batch, and the deadline is down from 14 days to eight. Live long, and meet your deadlines! Gaspode the UnDressed http://www.littlevale.co.uk |

After a little research, if you're getting the message:
8/8/2005 10:40:04 AM|LHC@home|Message from server: (Your network connection interval is longer than WU deadline)
...visit your LHC@Home preferences and change your "Connect to network about every X days" to less than 8. Happy crunching! ![]() |

The deadlines are now variable. Chrulle stated... ----- Well, i had implemented some scripts that analyses the database and chooses the deadline that will give us the results as fast as possible. Unfortunately that number was being overridden before the work was submitted, i have hopefully fixed this bug and the new deadline should appear with the next bunch of jobs. ----- Wave upon wave of demented avengers march cheerfully out of obscurity into the dream. |

Once you get the correct interval setting on BOINC, even when the deadlines vary the system will work well and keep my machines fed (using BOINC 4.45 with a reconnect point of 0.3). Granted, this timing is way less than the "big boy crunchers", but my few machines are slow, so I go with what works for me ... If I've lived this long, I've gotta be that old |
