How do I "drain" a client from the command line?

I need to do a kernel upgrade, which probably shouldn't be
done in mid-WU. So I'd like to have the machine finish its
current WUs and then wait, without downloading any new
ones.

The "un-installing BOINC" How-to on the Wiki looks like
it would cover it, but hasn't been written yet :(

Thanks

I'm still puzzling over this. What do people do when they go on holiday?

The manual suggests "boinc_cmd --nomorework" would be the thing, but
there's no boinc_cmd in the Linux distro!

boinc -exit_when_idle is nearly there, but while it does all the available
work without downloading more, it doesn't notify the site that the results
have been uploaded. (It doesn't exit, as claimed, either!)

And no, connecting with a GUI from another machine isn't possible; so
I guess the only option is to detach the machine?

Thanks
