If that is the case then he needs to try restarting BOINC, rebooting his computer, or as a last ditch effort, resetting one or both of those projects. obviously, resetting LHC isn't going to hurt him any since all of his results are trashed anyway. > > <a> href="http://lhcathome.cern.ch/show_host_detail.php?hostid=34918">This[/url] > > guy also: http://lhcathome.cern.ch/show_host_detail.php?hostid=34918 > > With this one, the problem is, BURP somehow took over LHC. I posted it because of the times of crunching of most of wu's. So I dug deeper to find out that some of them are finished by other users that took them a lot more time, and most of them are srill pending (posibly because they are invalid). <img border="0" src="http://boinc.mundayweb.com/one/stats.php?userID=2328&trans=off" /> <img border="0" src="http://boinc.mundayweb.com/one/stats.php?userID=2328&prj=5&trans=off" /> |

I had to uninstall BOINC, boot computer and install BOINC to get things to play right. Predictor actually validated one WU and gave me credit! Here is my WU that needs cancelling. 1930696 <img src="http://www.boincsynergy.com/images/stats/comb-461.jpg"> |

I got a similar problem. The .exe can't start so all wu's are reported invalid. There's another strange thing; when I try to dl a new .exe it takes a couple of days to complete the dl. During this time the CC tries to compute a wu between every dl attempt and fails of course. This failed attempt is reported and a new wu is fetched. Should'nt the CC wait until the .exe is completely dl'ed before starting the computation? |

Just to confirm: "failed - El archivo de paginación es demasiado pequeño para completar la operación." -> "failed - The swap file is too small to complete the operation" It looks like some jobs needs more than 30M or his settings to the memory use are too low. |

It was Burp my best guess as this is NOT the 1st time and is why Burp has announced major issues with the developers of BOINC.... I was fortunate as I am sure many were because I stayed attached and because the abrupt downtime of Burp for sooo long my client was at like 8 days to connect so I punished Burp and passed the corrupt wu's as I let the time to connect ride :) |
