Good evening, I just created an account, and I haven't gotten any work. 7/15/2005 10:22:44 PM|LHC@home|Sending scheduler request to http://lhcathome-sched1.cern.ch/scheduler/cgi 7/15/2005 10:22:44 PM|LHC@home|Requesting 0 seconds of work, returning 0 results 7/15/2005 10:22:45 PM|LHC@home|Scheduler request to http://lhcathome-sched1.cern.ch/scheduler/cgi succeeded I'm running 4 other projects, all collecting and distributing work. What should I be doing that I'm not? Thanks in advance. |

There doesn't seem to be anything in the troubleshooting section. But I was wondering if you've checked set up your preferences yet, the main reason I've found that work units don't download is having your preferences set to download every set number of days, which also determines the amount of work you'll get. You probably know all this from being in other projects but LHC seems to be a little testy sometimes, I would also suggest authorizing your computer to connect to the internet when work is required. Otherwise my only other suggestion would be detaching from the project and re-attaching but making sure that you are online at the same time. Sorry if my suggestions are known to you but I thought it best to include all the situations I've had to resolve. http://boinc.mundayweb.com/one/stats.php?userID=783&trans=off |

I've tried all of your suggestions, with no luck. I have me preferences to download every 4 days, but when I click the "Update" key with my other projects, it reconnects, downloads, uploads, etc. I assume its the same for LHC? My computer is connected 24/7, so that's not an issue (being connected, or not). I know projects have their issues, I was just wondering if this issue is LHC, or me. |

In other cases I would say you had a Long Term Debt with LHC, but since you only just made the account and attached to it, it's doubtful. Try a project reset (Projects tab, click once on LHC, press Reset on the left, click Yes) to see if that kicks it a bit. Also check your preferences on this project. Are they any different than the others you are connected to? Jord BOINC FAQ Service |

If you connect to another project, does it indicate that it is not getting work? It is possible that the daemon believes that it has enough work, and should not be downloading any work from anywhere at the moment. ![]() ![]() BOINC WIKI |
