<blockquote>Ok someone needs to say it ..

THIS THREAD NEEDS TO DIE!

It takes at least 30 seconds on a decent cable modem to download the entire text with all the graphics people have.. think of the dial up users loading this thread! :)

When we get to 10K again, feel free to start a new thread instead of keeping this one alive since 10 July! 'nuff said!

Only takes four seconds with my aDSL connection. However with people like us making posts it will live forever ;)

Well, I guess someone has to say it. Its the start of the weekend and we're down to 10k units again. Wonder if we'll run dry before Monday?

Up, out of work.

Why do we need a post here to tell us what we can read on the home page?

It is traditional in this thread. :P

You'll have to work pretty hard to be longer than some of the threads over on the Seti boards. Not to say that they all are worth reading

or because it is traditional in this thread (as said adrianxw) ;)
or because some people don't read the home page ;)

As a first guess, we are at the end of the study. As the residual work units come in, we will likely see a small "flurry" of failed work units that need additional results, then a week or more pause ...

This is par for the LHC@Home project. As they all say, you may or may not get work ... it is why us fuddy-duddys keep saying that you need to attach to several projects to keep the computers busy.

The good news is that we have now 6 projects that are in production if we add in Sztaki Desktop Grid ... and for me personnally, I am also doing Rosetta@Home as a 7th project though it is "officially" still in Beta test ...

Grumpy person that I am, I have to assume that they did this just to prove me wrong.

Of course, it could also just be that they finally took my advice and started to run two or more studies "side-by-side" ...

Then again, it could just be because it is Thursday ...

Oh wow, time to hoard again! ;) On another note, notice how we always appear to run out of wu's on the weekend, dumb luck?

Live long and crunch.
