Hi there,
I would like to ask wheather it is possible to visit the developers of the LHC@home project while looking around at Cern.

I would be realy interessted in the work you doing there for grid-computing, developing new models and not at last for us as users.

Cern organizes visits of the experiments. To learn more go here:
http://public.web.cern.ch/public/Content/Chapters/VisitCERN/VisitCERN-en.html

The quick version is: you get to see a movie about Cern and a guided visit to one of the Cern experiments. The tours are at 9:00 and 14:00 from monday to saturday. There is also a small museum you can visit. The whole thing is free of charge.

At the moment there are no tours of the computer center, but we are hoping to be able to offer them around autumn.

If you are coming we might be able to offer a quick tour of the computer centre and the LHC@home, but i cannot promise anything it depends on how busy we are at that time. It would also be better if you could gather a little group so we do not have to do a visit for each boinc user :-)

Do I may join this group too?
This would be a nice excursion and to get to know some other 'Crunchers'...;-)

There left only a date to fix.
(german: Man müsste sich nur noch um einen gemeinsamen Termin kümmern!)
