More WUs on my results page than in my cache

I managed to download a bunch of WUs during the recent unstable period. I have 18 WUs in my cache, but my results page shows many more than that. It seems that some WUs were allocated to me, but because of the "unstability" the connection between the database and scheduler was lost at some point, and I ended up not downloading them. Is this a wise assumption? If yes, at what point exactly could things have gone awry? That had happened to me with Einstein once. I went through the logs, and found one L@H scheduler request without a reply. That must have been the indication that something was wrong, because I had seen a similar Einstein scheduler request without a reply when that happened with Einstein. So I decided not to request work from any project once I realize that there is a database problem. I hope science will be OK for those missing WUs and credits will be granted in time, because I know for sure that I'm not crunching them... |

Yes it's probably due to database failure. The results were allocated for you but then something failed. But don't worry, those results will be regenerated sooner or later and given out to be crunched again. Markku Degerholm LHC@home admin |

I managed to download a bunch of WUs during the recent unstable period. I have 18 WUs in my cache, but my results page shows many more than that. ========= Try shutting of the BIONC Manager and then restarting it again, the WU's may show up then in the Manager. I've done that many times to get the WU's to show ... |

Ok, sorry...Well anyway if you haven't already done this check your BOINC-projects-lhcathome.cern.ch folder to make sure the WU's are not just sitting there and the client_state.xml file is just not picking them up ... If they are there then you can manually delete them or just reset the project if you don't have any other LHC WU's downloaded that you are running now ... |

And how you get them running; if you have found them in a different BOINC-folder??? ========= I don't have a clue LB, although I have read some posts over at the Seti Site on how it can be done supposedly ... It involves a lot of editing of the client state file I think ... Personally I just reset or delete, I don't worry about it anymore because the WU's will get sent back out again when they reach their deadline or I assume once you reset the project ... I figure it's BOINC's screw up if the WU's are there and the client_state.xml file is to stupid to realize it ... ;) |

I tried also to delete both files and then restart the CC. sometimes it works but more often it don't... THX anyway LB |
