What was wrong with this WU? I'm sure it is only invalid, because it couldn't upload correct. I had to delete this file manually. I restarted the hole LAN. I noticed this messages about that WU: 22.04.2005 04:44:54|LHC@home|Computation for result v64lhc.D1-D2-MQonly-inj-no-skew-5s6_8532.8846_1_sixvf_1447 finished 22.04.2005 04:44:54|LHC@home|Starting result v64lhc.D1-D2-MQonly-inj-no-skew-5s6_8534.6154_1_sixvf_1448_3 using sixtrack version 4.67 22.04.2005 04:44:55|LHC@home|Started upload of v64lhc.D1-D2-MQonly-inj-no-skew-5s6_8532.8846_1_sixvf_1447_3_0 22.04.2005 04:49:00|LHC@home|Temporarily failed upload of v64lhc.D1-D2-MQonly-inj-no-skew-5s6_8532.8846_1_sixvf_1447_3_0 22.04.2005 04:49:00|LHC@home|Backing off 1 minutes and 0 seconds on upload of file v64lhc.D1-D2-MQonly-inj-no-skew-5s6_8532.8846_1_sixvf_1447_3_0 22.04.2005 04:50:00|LHC@home|Started upload of v64lhc.D1-D2-MQonly-inj-no-skew-5s6_8532.8846_1_sixvf_1447_3_0 22.04.2005 04:50:32|LHC@home|Finished upload of v64lhc.D1-D2-MQonly-inj-no-skew-5s6_8532.8846_1_sixvf_1447_3_0 22.04.2005 04:50:32|LHC@home|Throughput 1726 bytes/sec 22.04.2005 04:50:35|LHC@home|Couldn't delete file projects\lhcathome.cern.ch\v64lhc.D1-D2-MQonly-inj-no-skew-5s6_8532.8846_1_sixvf_1447_3_0 greetz littleBouncer ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Maybe a virus scanner was inspecting it when it should have been deleted... Or maybe it is a core client bug, there has been lots of those "open file" errors. Markku Degerholm LHC@home admin |

Or maybe it is a core client bug, there has > been lots of those "open file" errors. > > Hi Markku some more infos about WU 92561 :(time in the messages are UTC+1) CC 4.26, Norton Antivirus, throughput upload only about 100 bytes/sec I had two other WU on another box with CC 4.27 and McAfee (security center) at 9:00 (UTC+1) and with only about 100 bytes/sec. upload rate (normally >30 Kbytes/sec) one failed and this one(host 30552) returned with success, but it seems there is something strange: it is granted, but there are no lines like 'canonical result' and 'granted credit'. So it is hard to say : was it the CC or the AV-application.... Thanks for your reply littleBouncer (on the run for the first 100 K) |
