Got 45 of these in all, 17 on the slowpoke and 28 on the other. 2 are finished already, 1 finished in 3 seconds, 1 the counter never reached 1 second (still says "---" but is "ready to report"). Weird units indeed. |

There is nothing unusal s16_ and s18_ are 'fast' WU's. s6_ is the base and will take the predicted time (about 1 hour) all others are shorter (you can transforme the table in the thread 'some discoveries....' greetz littleBouncer BTW: Bases are loaded, let's chrunch'em (sorry: process them;-)) |

One thing I have noticed is how LHC is being very selective about which machines actually get work units. Lately, we can all agree the that WU's have been sparse. But usually my AMD64 3200 and my AMD 3200 Barton have been consistently getting work at a much higher rate than the rest of my machines. So my point is ..... only my fastest machines have been getting work. Untill day....everything got several new LHC WU's in the Q' ... woots for me. |

>>So my point is ..... only my fastest machines have been getting work. I know I don't have many computers, but my slower computer has got many more units that my faster one. Seems a bit strange, as I'm not sure they would normally finish before the required date. |

In my case, my fastest and my slowest (and a couple in between) all have work... Though, with the front page indicating "Out of Work" (again) we have run them dry again ... sigh ... |
Though, with the front page indicating "Out of Work" (again) we have run them dry again ... sigh ...
With this 'up and down' it is also difficult to line-up ( or synchronize ) the CPID with other projects! no probs with those 100'000 turns WU so fare (finger crossed) greetz littleBouncer (on the run for the first 100 K) |

At least we are still seeing improvements in the systems. UCB is doing a full back-up, Einstein@Home is doing a hardware upgrade, and Predictor@Home is giving us work like there is no tomorrow ... Oh, yes, CPDN has found the trickle not saved problem ... |

There is nothing unusal s16_ and s18_ are 'fast' WU's. s6_ is the base and will take the predicted time (about 1 hour) ========== After running Hundreds of these Monkey WU's I don't think they follow the same Pattern as the v64Boince6ib Type WU's...I agree some of the s18 WU's are very fast, some are done in a matter of a few seconds even. But some of the s18 WU's can take me close to an hour to do also just the same as the s6 WU's ... Careful observation of the Monkey WU's has shown me that it doesn't matter much what they are, s6, s8, s10, s12, s14, s16, or s18, they all seem to take about the same amount of time. Only a few of the s18's every now & then will take a short amount of time. I have noticed this same Pattern across all my PC's and it doesn't seem to vary ... In fact I'm running a s18 right now on a P4 3.4 Computer that will take 52 minutes to run, this is in HT Mode for the P4 ... |
