Not sure how reliable a news soucre zpenergy.com is.. but.. yikes!

Article mentions that scientists are studying 'what if' the beam needs to be shut down in case of emergency. There are beam dumps for that.

Maybe someone will generate some work units that simulate this.

I'm not the LHC Alex. Just a number cruncher like everyone else here.

Maybe that's the reason for the short-process WU's.
