It seems that when running the P4 CPU's with the HT Option Enabled that when 1 WU finishes the BOINC Client doesn't always start up another WU, I've noticed this on all my Computers from time to time ...

I have to either Update the Project or shut down the BOINC Client in order to get the second WU running, sometimes it takes 5-10 minutes with playing around with the Client to get 2 WU's running again ...

I have my preferences set to use 2 CPU's so the problem's not there & I have HT Enabled on all my Computers too ... It's sort of a hit and miss thing, sometimes the next WU starts up & sometimes it doesn't start up ... Goofy :) Luckily most of the WU's I have are the longer 8-10 hour ones so I can keep an eye on them most of the time to insure the next WU starts like it should ...

Running HT also with Boinc v4.19. I never had the problem you are discribing.

What CC are you using, as I cann't see it as your PC's are hidden ;o)

BTW, bugs of development versions can be posted here.

Best greetings from Belgium

==========

I have the same problem whether I run the v4.19 or v4.24 Clients. In fact I have a Dual Installation on several of my PC's & I was beginning to think maybe that had something to do with it but I just had to jump start a second WU on 1 PC that only has the v4.24 installed ... But I was having the same problem with only v4.19 installed also so I don't know whats going on.

It seems to me I read a post somewhere by somebody else reporting the same problem ...

Sure it happens, with 4.19 and/or other releases,

at least it happens to my HT based clients too.

not in a way that I have to care about (crossing fingers..) but it happend.

I believe it's more a problem related to the boinc client than to the crunching application as "sixtrack" and other.

From the "user settings", only a to low "connect every" Queue setting could have an impact.

but it happens.
