The 0 credit issue was first reported on 14 Feb during the alpha test, it's now ben almost 2 weeks. I know a lot has happened since then and I know you have placed a message on the front page, but do you guys have any idea what is causing it? The wu's that have directly affected me have been crunched by linux clients. Is this always the case? This really hurts since they appear to be the million rotation wu's and they are taking me 13 hrs on my HT machine and I am missing out on 90 cs every time. Markku, can we have more of an update please. Live long and crunch. Paul (S@H1 8888) ![]() ![]() |

You can believe that this bug irritates me as well ; My own cruncher gives zero CPU time for about 50% of the results. I have been studying BOINC client and API sources to get an idea what could be wrong. I have ideas, but nothing very substantial yet. Mail to BOINC developers' mailing list gave no answer. Another problem is that I am no longer working for CERN. Thus I'm contributing my free-time on this, and I don't have it that much (who does...). It's also hard for me to test new binaries because I can't sign them remotely (maybe I could do a test setup which doesn't require signing but that would take lots of time, too. Fortunately there are others in the LHC@home team to help me. And if it's really the core client that is the problem, then the solution is easy: update the core client (that's what I need to test next:) Markku Degerholm LHC@home admin |

What's about using anonymus platform for testing binaries without signing? I never test it with LHC, but if it is not working with this project, it should be optimized. Cool. Thanks for the update, I do appreciate it. I didn't realise you were not with CERN anymore. Is there much of an effort within CERN regarding finding this bug? Is this still being caused solely by Linux? Live long and crunch! Paul. |

>Is this still being caused solely by Linux? This is a cross platform problem. I believe it is specific to LHC. I have not experienced it at CPDN, Predictor, or Einstein. -P <img src="http://www.boincstats.com/stats/teambanner.php?teamname=GasBuddy"> <img src="http://www.boincstats.com/stats/banner.php?cpid=84c0cf7846cbf28338406e54b3eb8a83"> |
