as the old thread about this program got deleted (server change), it just open this new one tor version 1.8 General: This windows program can help you keeping up to date with your BOINC Core Client. See some screenshots:  On the second one you can see the "check_silent" mode, you can use that by adding the argument "/check_silent" to your program shortcut --- New: I just found some time for BOINCnotifier and therefore corrected the nasty bug where the CC version could not be checked (since 4.24). So in the new version 1.8 version detection works again BUT people with clients from 4.20 to 4.23 should stick to 1.7 or upgrade to the new Core Client. Get the new exe by downloadlink or autoupdate! Hi again, in the last days, the BOINCnotifier produced a strange output due to the new Mac versions where the version number could not be read out of the XML-file. Fortunately David Anderson now changed the format, so with this new version of BOINCnotifier, hopefully everything will work again! :) Download here or by autoupdate! When trying to open it, it opens on a black background and closes directly after that. Win XP Pro SP2. I'm afraid you will have to make once again a correction ;) Best regards, Thierry |

New version 2.0RC adds a bugfix when downloading by clicking on the balloon hint when running in "check_silent"-mode. As the new CC is now stable, I will release the 2.0 final very soon (one week or so) if there are no more bugs in the RC. Hi there! Some of you may have noticed, BOINCnotifier did not work the last one or two days. The reason for that was a change on the download page. A new version now makes the prog work again and also adds more information. Get it by the link here in the thread or by autoupdate. Have fun!
