Sometimes the protons are lost from the accelerator very fast depending on magnet configurations (errors in magnets) and initial conditions of the protons (their positions and angles). When a work unit is completed in a short time it shows that protons were not on a stable orbit and this is a very valuable result for the LHC! ID: 6466 · Reply Quote
