I have a single machine running BOINC. With the detach/reattach necessary to get the new client, I went to "Computers" because attach/reattach always seems to duplicate machines. I discovered I had 3. I have merged 2 of them, but trying to merge the most recent one with the oldest one does not work. Regardless of which machine I start from, clicking "Merge" results in an empty list of machines to merge with. "Select all" acheives nothing. *** EDIT *** Hosts are numbers 8264, (older record), and 23691, todays record. Wave upon wave of demented avengers march cheerfully out of obscurity into the dream. |

there is already another thread on this issue. Jim > I have a single machine running BOINC. AFAIK this is how it goes. In order to merge machines thet must have the same cpu and operating system. BOINC has changed the description of Intel cpus from "Intel(R)Pentium....." to "Genuine Intel(R) Pentium...." hence they are treated as separate machines. Your total credits will still be ok.
