I\'m afraid I haven\'t got much to contribute with, but I\'d still like to reinforce that Mac support would be really appreciated. |

I can understand that you could not run the same WU on Mac vs. windows/linux because of the compiler issue. However, I see no reason you couldn't issue WU only to Macs, which would eliminate any differences. |

My Mac is ready to crunch numbers too. I\'ve always been really interested in the LHC but I\'m running a G4 so it\'s a no go. |

I hope they come up with a mac client soon -- I have two of the newest 8-core, 3.0GHz macs sitting here waiting... I\'m ready and willing to give them at least 8 hours a day of 100% LHC time! |

Hello i\\\'m an italian student in computer sience engineer. As I understand it you can\'t, as it is closed source and not available to the public. Michael |

In the moment the only way to crunch LHC at MacOS (Intel) is to use CrossOver, Parallels or VMWare as described earlier in this thread. |

I guess that there would been released a MacOS application in the near time. As I have written in the previos postings in this thread : The problem is, that diffrent compilers generate different results. But, if the project need 100% identical results from a WU it could be really problematic. That is the problem at LHC and some other Fortran based BOINC projects. The compiler which has LHC used is only available for Windows and Linux... The only way to crunch is to using CrossOver - see my in previos posting in this thread. |

I would be interested. First off... grat guide. Second, you asked at the end for info on other projects that has been run succesfully with your guide... I have running QMC@Home, Spinhenge@home, Cosmology@Home and uFluids running just fine. I just did 1 thing differently. I used your scripts, but copied the rest from a win installation directory, couldn\'t get Boinc to start with your version, kept bugging me about error in c runtime. Now it works like a charm(version 6.6.36. Thanks man. |

I hope that when LHC goes back on-line, they have a Mac client available. I am a member of BOINC Team SYNERGY MOON mostly on SETI@home and I want to donate my other spare computing time to LHC@home project, so, please, compile a Macintosh client as soon as possible too MAK |

I\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'m waiting for a MacOs LHC client too!! I really wish my Mac computers and GPUs could help LHC. I believe that any discovery in LHC would be great. |

Just wanted to add my vote for a native Mac client. I've got 12 cores that would like to donate some crunch time, but I'm not interested in ANY non-native solution. I like this project and think it is well worth the support. I just wish I could help... |

I would also like to say that I\'d very much like to contribute to LHC@home on my Mac. Come on guys, put a bit of work into it and get us a Mac Version! All the best, Simon |
