I have used two different emailadresses for the boinc projects.

But i want to use a global stats page. So i changed my eMail adress to one single over all projects.

Every project has now assigned me the new Cross Project ID, only in LHC i have the old.

Is there a way to update manually??? Or can someone help me form the lhc team?

thx

It should update when you get a successful scheduler RPC. It may have to have a full RPC (get work) to actually update the database.

I assume you have at least one computer that is attached to all projects. Or at least some path from every project to every other project through your computers. I think JKeck is right though. I think I remember seeing a bug report on this. If I remember correctly, the first thing the scheduler does is hand out work units. If that fails then it doesn't even try to do anything else (such as update your preferences and sync up your CPID). I'm not sure if that bug has been fixed yet by the BOINC devs. If so, it was recently and LHC evidently still hasn't updated that part of the system.

I wanted to lower the resource share for LHC and I could do so on the website but I couldn't get my client to take the updates. The way I finally did it is to detach and then reattach to LHC. You might want to try that.

There are two possibilities.

One is that the initernal CPIDs do not match. This can be checked by looking at the websites of most of the projects on the your account page. If these do not match, then you need to check that the project is allowing connections, and that you do not have separate pools of computers working on particular projects.

The second is that the internal CPIDs match, but the external CPIDs do not match. There are two causes for this. One or more of the projects has not released XML files since you have updated your email addresses. Or your email addresses really do not quite match foo@bar.com is different from Foo@bar.com.

email adresse is the same in all project. every other project i changed my adress has already gererated the new cpid from the email adress. but lhc has not.

so i think i have to wait until a) a admin change my cpid or b) i get an wu and after that the new cpid will be generated.

Changing your e-mail address will only change the external CPID in the XML stats, not the internal CPID.

The external CPID isn't updating now because the project is not running at the moment. I've attached to a few more projects and got a new CPID which has updated on all projects except this one.

It'll update once this project restarts.

Also, just as an FYI, some of the other projects such as Seti has updated the user preference pages to show the external CPID now instead of the internal ID. LHC still shows the internal until the server software for boinc here gets updated. If you see line "Used in exported accounting data" just below "Cross-project ID" then that's showing the external CPID.
