I assume, your relatives arrives by flight or train.
By flight, they will arrives to the aiport called kloten.
every 10 Minutes or so a train take passengers to the main railstation of zurich.

In december (now!) it's a must to sisite the main railwaystation/Hauptbahnhof.
A really beautyfull Christmas-Marked / Weihnachtsmarkt is located in the rail way station itself,
there where you leave the train, just walk about 200 meters in the same direction,
still inhouse, and you are at the market.

Zurich is located at a see, about 15 Min by Strassenbahn from the main station.
Can be walked too. The 2nd web cam show a bit.

Was she at the hospital called Triemli?. This one, if I' not wrong, doesn't exist longer.
In Züruch, several more or less great hospitals have been closed in the last couples of year.

Zurüch was the main ville, a central place for drug dealing, not only the most important in switzerland,
also european wide. This was changed completely.
Drug keeper and car holder are watched very close in Zurüch.

Oh yea, better not go by car to Zurich, you can spend a lot of money...

7 or more famous chirches (Fraumünster) can be visited to.

Zurich is also offering very strange, cultural celebrations. It depends how
advanced the tolerance/ understanding of art of your relatives is...
(In summer, streetparade with more nacked than clothed people, very loud music)

Zurüch is a town. An ugly town, in my eyes, Switzerland has much more beautiful places to show.
Was working in Zurich for 4 years, a while ago.

The last web cam shows the "Hörnli" a excursion point, near of the town.
Right now we have fog / Hochnebel. Below this clouds, we have temperatures of 0-+ degrees C.
Above 700-800 Meters, the outside temperature is 10-15 degrees C.
The hörnli is 1152 Meters and offers a wonderfull view.

An other good thing could be, take the train for 20 Minutes and go to Einsiedeln, above the fog,
a wonderfull quite place with a great monastaire? (Kloster)

A trip by train, arround the see of Zürich will take about 70 Minutes, only in Pfäffikon need to change the train.

A trip on the lake itself, I'm not sure if the "tourist-boats" are open in winter times.

There is a planetarium to visite

Not very far away from the railway station, there is a tower called "Zyytglocke" the whos'who and some "important" people are there,
like the Kaufleuten-cafe.

Zurich has a Zoo too, but Zoos in winter are cold and less interesting as in spring time

And Zurüch is an expensive place, even normal food is not cheap. Pizza Hut, McDonald and Cindy are there too.

If the time is enough, 30 Minutes by train from Zurüch, at Winterthur, there is a kind of "living" museum, the technorama, a wonderfull exposition, where children of any age can play with experiments, alway am exsursion worth.
