hi together, It's not easy to wait patiently until the new systems are glued and ready (for public) It's sunday. It's the pre christmas time. Reasons enough to sit back and reflect about the slowly shivering out of remembering of LHC work. The beautiful work! I restarted an old client with work. The work was returned a while ago, will not resend back to LHC. Just startet the Client for fun and refreshing the remembering. Ahh the feeling! You can't imagine. It's a pleasure to share this unique feeling, here are some hardcopies/screenshots: The sixtrack in action |

Pehaps because I installed boinc on their POS systems. Even today was outside making a bike/Fahrrad trip. Yesterday passed an other 4 Hours at the Zoo of Basel (going there at least 1-2 times per month, making some pictures) But Richard you know, you can't be outside all the long day. greetings |

>.. it is -17C .. Wonderful, just wonderful. just open the windows and overclocking is no longer depending of heat sink.. right now we have 1.5 degrees C. > Also, es gibt nicht Bcher, Fernseher mit/ohne DVD, Gesprch mit jemandem? sure You are right, but all those things can't be done all the day.. It's a long time ago since I watched TV, prefering to be active myself. OK coffee time. |

These images are small in size. http://members.shaw.ca/joevoxxer/LHCdiamondscreencap.jpg Fun being user of the day, while the SETI guys have server issues. And boinc with actual work units. http://members.shaw.ca/joevoxxer/boinctesting.jpg ______________________________________________________________ Member of the Carl Sagan team. |

@richard believe me or not, the rack assempled in the (small) guest toilets room, is alway suffering of to much temperature, even now in winter, the windows must be open a bit to cool down the room. Not all heat can be reroutet to warm the appartement. My nearly wife loves to sit there, because it's the warmest place we have.. @Alex Wonderfull, Thankyou, I see U are understanding our/my common suffering. What is you environment? KDE with wine? Looks great, I'm interessted about, but I guess, you must have an Einstein in the family to get the things run.. Well the SETI guys are used to have server issues in a regular way There is a certain risk to come as UOD if you have created a profile. LHC was sufferung of UOD more than one time. There is work for everybody... nothing to say...just admire the nostagica. Are there more Hardcopies arround? Please share them here. |

I only did a couple of work units under linux(knoppix) with wine. The Results validated ok. Main PC is a WindowsXP box. The other ones are clunkers which stay off most of the time. ______________________________________________________________ Member of the Carl Sagan team. |

> hi together, hi, too, > It's not easy to wait patiently until the new systems are glued and ready (for > public) And it's not easy, to await the credits for work that is almost done. > Voil a fat tunescan found: I did so, also. And there are two crunched tunescans in LHC's database, with credits pending to twelve (!) computers. Nine of them have given back their results. Most of them did their work for 250.000 to more than 300.000 seconds. But credits will not roll back. It seems, that tunescans are a lot of work, but very unefficient to crunchers. Does this mean, it would be a good idea, to "kill" all tunescan work in future? read you Fritz |
