A cell processor will be used in the PS3, it has been officialy anounced since 2001 by sony itself. The PS3 could the most powerfully console microsft will have its handsfull.

Will this very fast chip or what ever - ever be availeable to private machines, and while we wait, does any one of you know, if it is possible to hook up one of the versions of BOINC to run on a PS3 to help crunch a lot of work fast (a S@h WU in less than one second)?
