Is there some purpose in bringing that post up and into this thread Keith, are you people that spiteful & ready to run somebody out of the site that has done his fair share of crunching for the Project just because of a post he made.

If everybody thinks I'm that much of a problem here at this Site then I will leave as you all wish. I see where I have done no harm here or by that post, it served it's purpose and the Site is a better place because of it I think...

(well I have no problem with you PoorBoy.....or Keith for that matter.....I won't go further than that)

Anyway......I figured since both SETI/UC Berkeley's server and the LHC are both fast asleep I would check my email and tigerdirect had sent me an email (since I am a long time customer I guess)

So I decided to look at the processor page and see what is going on today.

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/Category/category_cpu.asp#buyersguide

I started out running a PIII 500 back when I started running SETI but then started testing the pentiums vs the AMD's with ZDTV/TechTV and I switched from pentium as my favorite (I do still run a P4 2.5)but I ran my old AMD 1700 vs the P4 2.5 and the AMD was always faster so I then got the AMD 3200 and ran it vs the P4 and it was twice as fast as a P4 2.5 (running original seti)and the prices were better too.

But then I don't play video games so that may be different.

And everyone has their favorite processors and OS and HD's and video cards.

(anti-virus programs and anti-spy too I suppose)

And you know the Laws of Processor update.......so I am trying out a AMD 3400/64 right now

I guess I will check and see if UC Berkeley just woke up I guess......

Well I'll let this Thread to the rest of you guys, I've lost my taste to post in it anymore now that Keith has dragged something in here that serves no purpose other than to stir something up or try to start something with me. I don't have a problem with anybody at the site but obviously some of them have one with me being here.

Get over it Keith, take the post & go sit on the John & take a nice big dump and wipe your rear end with it, thats about how much the post is worth ...

You had nothing to say about the post when I made it, but now 3 weeks later you drag it out & say your not trying to run me out of the Project but have this urge to know just when am I going quit the Project...D'oh

I suggest you go out & buy yourself a nice Blow Up Doll so you'll have at least one friend in the world to occupy your time & then you won't have to worry yourself to death about what PoorBoy posts anymore ...

"Low on work"? They,ve been "low on work" for over 2 weeks now. I have had one, that's (1), WU since finishing my last one on the 9th of this month. I believe that a more appropriate phrase would be "We are out of work indefinitely".

If it wasn't for SETI@Home and climateprediction, my PC would be off for most of a 24 hour period. There'd be no need to run it 24/7 anymore.

There was much work in the last 14 day to be completed

BOLDED statements, made by me, do not constitute yelling on my part. They are made to differentiate between quoted text and what my statements are.

If there was so much work to process in the last 14 days, then why did I get just one WU? BOINC has been logging on and trying to get WUs at least 15 times a day for the past 14.

My CPU is only about 5 months old so it should give me at least 2 years of reliable service.

> Good for the electricity bill

I'm not concerned about lowering my electric bill. I only have the one PC that runs 24/7. I can afford that.

I do not understand what you mean by this last statement.
