They just keep coming and wasting power. I think i will put on hold for a little time (until it's fixed), because its a lot of wasted resources. Then I will happely come back and chrunch.

There is also 37 old ones from february/march 2013 on my account. Wonder why they are still there? You can't see the actual workunits when you click them anymore.

Maybe there is generally a lot of stuck tasks from that period on peoples account.

I was lucky and finally got 6 Tasks this morning which are all being crunched (Windows 7, INTEL i7-2600) but generally most are grabbed almost as soon as they are pushed to the server.

At one time there was a limitation on how many Tasks could be "grabbed" by a single account. This was done so that more people could participate. In fact it also resulted in Tasks getting turned around quicker because they weren't setting on someone's machines waiting to run.

That rule is still there, I can "only" get 8 tasks for my dual cores and 16 tasks for my dual core with HT.

How long do you expect it to take to check the software chain? Can we expect Work in a few days or weeks?

Well, I think it might be specific for the project. Since I just checked collatz, and there it shows the same date as on my computer. So it is a LHC thing. Thats just my 2 cents.

This is a project specific thing. Atleast for LHC. You are only allowed to have 4 tasks per core "in progress". So thats why you can't get work for 2x10 days.

Besides, the work deadline for LHC is 7 days, so if you request 20 days (10 day buffer and 10 additional), then you will fail to do 13 days of work, which will just get thrown out. This is one of the reasons there is this limit.

This project is build for small answer times and low cache. So the computers that are not online atleast every 6 days, will not be able to participate in this project. The rest of your computers are appreciated a lot though.

I have the same "problem". All my deadlines on the webpage are one day later than on my computers.

(they are also additional 2 hours apart, but that is because I am in UTC+2 timezone, so that is perfectly normal).

I wish I had as high a credit as you Tom. ;-)
I get 0.84!

http://lhcathomeclassic.cern.ch/sixtrack/workunit.php?wuid=3208867

But the task is only 108-141 seconds long. so that is like 1½-2½ minute long. You shouldn't get more credit than 0.84.

The credit only comes from CPU time, not run time. Run time is just the time it was running on your system. But if you play games, watch movies or stuff like that, then your CPU time will be a lot less than your run time, since the CPU is only running at a few percentages of what it can do.

Here is a normal workunit of mine that gave 139 credit for 5 hours of work. And it gave even mor credit per hour for my wingman as he completed it faster.

I got 6 wlxu2, 2 of them is 7 hours, 2 of them is 61 hours and 2 of them is 76 hours.

It's not a problem, because I can easely do them in time, was just so you know that there are some out there. They are not resends.

3121879 short
3123215 long
3123328 long
3123629 long
3125320 short
3125798 long

I don't know where to look for turns, but i can se the estimated computation sizes:
180000 GFLOPs
1800000 GFLOPs

The reason there is 3 different estimated times are because of sse2, sse3 and pni jobs dont have the same estimation.
