No Credit for WU

No Credit for WU
(Message 20401)
Posted 17 Sep 2008 by TerryG Post: I seem to have received no credit for the following WU: http://lhcathome.cern.ch/lhcathome/workunit.php?wuid=2850021 It's not a lot of credit but could happen to a WU that runs for hours. |

Ok are the sysops on holiday?
(Message 19744)
Posted 28 Jun 2008 by TerryG Post: Sometimes a complete set of workunits need to complete and the results analysed before the next set are sent out. If that is the case here, then those with the (currently) 200 odd WU that are outstanding need to complete their work before the rest of us get anymore. Basically, it's the same message as ever - be patient, keep LHC polling for work and, in the meantime, get those wasted CPU cycles crunching for another Project. |

Old inactive Hosts
(Message 19070)
Posted 23 Feb 2008 by TerryG Post: I've tried to do this but I think there was a problem a couple of years ago whereby a new host was created every time you contacted the Project. That's left me with several hundred inactive hosts that are basically all the same two machines. Every now and then, I'll delete a page's worth but they have to be done individually with several pages being navigated between each delete. I soon lose heart! Perhaps a 'Select All' box or a tick bock next to each host would help? |

The new look bugs
(Message 17724)
Posted 5 Aug 2007 by TerryG Post: I don't think it's about word wrap. The fix design is just too wide for 1024px. I get a lot of wasted space on the right side of the screen - but my monitor is set to 1600x1200. Even so, the output in the 'My Results' page (and various other pages) does look a bit blocky as IE7 is trying to squeeze the information into a smaller space. |

Posted 20 Jul 2007 by TerryG Post: I don't suppose anyone has ideas about the need to login everytime? I still have to enter my email and password eaach time I power up my PC but this is the only Project I have to do that for - I didn't need to do it before the redesign. |

The new look bugs
(Message 17314)
Posted 9 Jul 2007 by TerryG Post: I've got a very minor niggle. I have various 'My Account' pages from various Projects in my startup folder so I get the displayed automatically at logon. Usually about every fortnight, I need to reenter my email and password. However, on the new LHC@H site I need to do this every time despite the stay logged into this computer option being checked. Neasan - I'm using IE7 on XP Pro. I'm forced to login each time I access the 'Your Account' page at the moment. I can go anywhere within the site but if I close IE, then I need to login again. |

UPDATE: I can't get into My Account at all now. I'm being asked for my email/password but it's failing with a message that's too quick to read (the only downside to a broadband connection?). |

As I say, not that important but would be nice if I could stay logged in across sessions. |

cant detach from project as is suggested by msg
(Message 16982)
Posted 5 Jun 2007 by TerryG Post: I tried detaching both via BOINCView and BAM. Even after running the BAM Account Manager in update mode on the local client, the Project did not detach. I ended up logging onto the local computer, detaching BAM, detaching the Project, reattaching the Project and then reattaching BAM. |
