Download failures
(Message 50333)
Posted 5 Jun 2024 by Nils Høimyr Post: This problem seems to be with older BOINC clients that include old ssl certificate bundles. If removing and re-attaching to the project does not help, please consider upgrading to a more recent BOINC client version. |

ATLAS application :
atlas error
(Message 50292)
Posted 30 May 2024 by Nils Høimyr Post: We do have a new server running the ATLAS assimilator and validator, but not have any changes to the upload/download servers for months. Could it be a scheduler issue? My own clients do not get this error, and as far as I can see not our other servers either. Would suggest to detach/remove LHC@home and re-attach to the project if you observe this as suggested by Crystal Pellet. Edit: BOINC client 7.20.2 does not have any download issues. |

atlas error
(Message 50223)
Posted 23 May 2024 by Nils Høimyr Post: Sorry for these validation errors. We had a problem with the ATLAS validator yesterday on our new server. We have now set the relevant results to re-validate in the database. Hopefully you should get credit soon, unless something else prevents it. |

hits file upload fails immediately
(Message 49739)
Posted 8 Mar 2024 by Nils Høimyr Post: More recent web servers may have a default limit of 1GB, while there was no limit in the past. We have increased the limit to 2 on our latest file servers, so uploads should normally work on the next attempt. However, if the squids are limited too, you might be blocked earlier. |

Upload Problems
(Message 49721)
Posted 7 Mar 2024 by Nils Høimyr Post: Our file servers ran out of memory with the big batch of hits files. Sorry for this. We are adding more file servers today, so please retry uploads later. |

ATLAS application :
hits file upload fails immediately
(Message 49699)
Posted 5 Mar 2024 by Nils Høimyr Post: We are still trying to debug the file upload blocker on the servers, as we have not set a limit, but the httpd process crashes during these uploads. What is strange is that we have not seen these mpm prefork crashes before, probably because the files were smaller. It looks like the servers run out of memory during the upload. |

Double counting?
(Message 49652)
Posted 26 Feb 2024 by Nils Høimyr Post: As far as I can see, this is not on the project side. On our servers the DB-dump jobs are running and the contents of the html/stats directories of the 2 projects different. (Orders of magnitude more hosts and users for LHC@home than our dev project.) |
