Post: LHC@home (classic) will live on as far as we can see but will be hosted at CERN. LHC@Home 2.0 is a new project also at CERN. SO this is a good thing... a new project and further developments of the original project. Alex |

Post: Hello, As Neasan said I have been working out at CERN with Eric McIntosh trying to work out why these jobs have been failing... To help debug this we have sent some more jobs through the system, some of these jobs have run OK some have failed. We are working on this although we do not fully understand it... yet! Alex |

Post: Hi, We are releasing a Press Release today to officially Launch the LHC@HOME move to the UK. So we might expect some new users to turn up over the weekend! Please be nice to them ;-) So that they have a fighting chance of getting a job to process we changed some of the settings including the daily quota. Post: No one is supposed to know about lhcathometest. It is an internal testing and staging area only. The fact that you can see it is probably an apache config bug on my part! lhcathometest is not a replacement for lhcathomealpha. If we need some testing which needs volunteer help we will create an lhcathomealpha project and ask for help. We don't have a need for that kind of testing at the moment hence no lhcathomealpha project at the moment! Alex |

Post: The idea is that to migrate you will have to do nothing! Techincally we will change the cern.ch DNS entry to point to an IP address in the Queen Mary, University of London network (138.37.0.0/16). The rest should then fall into place! Alex Owen LHC@Home server admin |
