1) Message boards : Number crunching : How is the SSE3 thing coming along? (Message 24360)

pni and sse3 are binary identical using fc (file compare) on windows
however, my host supporting pni gets both sse2/pni with majority work units being sse2 (up to 90%).
I believe, Igor should tweak WUs distribution. I have not got a single computation error on pni@AMD.

Just adjusted my app_info.xml to get sse3 instead of pni on my Phenom X6.
Btw, noticed a strange thing: at least once my computer got both of task WUs - http://lhcathomeclassic.cern.ch/sixtrack/workunit.php?wuid=1856494. I think it should NOT work like that (this was way before tinkering with xml)

Thanks, will listen to it later via StreamLink. I am long time listener, LHC and "how it will create black holes and open portal to DOOM" is frequently mentioned on the program :).

I've got 13 lost WU's :-( pretty much for my one and only machine
They are , well, like never uploaded and reported

I've got some new workunits named "wboinc7rpt_v6s4hvnom_0__1__64.254_59.264__8_10__6__80_1_sixvf_boinc86275".
I wonder what are these rpt ones - repeated WUs with adjusted params?
7) Questions and Answers : Wish list : SSE2 support for sixtrack and future applications (Message 11309)

And what about all those machines without support for SSE and SSE2?

Yeah, yeah. All apps. with SSE and other advanced instructions use them depending on the CPU, they are being run on. So they will run on all CPUs and use advanced functions only on ones, that support 'em. It's been a long time since sixtrack was developed and i hope CERN can put some more effort in developing SSE enabled builds.
I read about all development problems, too.
Anyway, i would like to see an official reply here, and discussion in other thread in another forum. Thanks.

All active forum members/crunchers, please vote for SSE/SSE2 support in "Questions/Wish List" message board. I think it will greatly increase processing power for capable processors. I am posting it here, because people mainly read this forum/topic :).

Dis is _not_ an error - server just doesn't have workunits for us to crunch.
I wonder when hoarders will crunch all their remainings....

May be we should purge inactive users with zero credit after some time (ie 6 months), thus freeing some disk space and opening room for new sign-ups? I am sure this was discussed before, but i haven't seen it yet.

Sounds reasonable, i was not aware that XML exports only users with credit

I have noticed that altough LHC@Home reached 8000 users, on boincstats.com we can see only 6,704, and this number is rising every day =). How can this be? Is it some XML statistics lag? Thanks.
