I made a minor change to this entry. Tell me if it is more accurate now.
"Details hard to come by for the non-Hungarian reader."

better indeed :)

And I had not heard that Sztaki was out of beta testing. I know a couple of the other editors are running that and would probably have made the change already. But, I will look at it.

Nope, can't see anything that indicates that they are out of Beta testing.

And where did you read (or see) that they are in Beta testing ?

Then I quote "you" here :
Hungarian project. Details hard to come by for an English speaker.
This is difficult for All people who don't speak Hungarian and not only for an English speaker.

Some update : they are translating the web site in english
I quote them here :
2005. august 30.
Good news for our international users that the translation of the webpages has begun. The pages will transform dinamically from now on.

Well, you can perhaps add SZTAKI ?
This is for now the sixth project and it's not alpha or beta, so ...

Because there's always those who have nothing better to do.</blockquote>

or because it is traditional in this thread (as said adrianxw) ;)
or because some people don't read the home page ;)

dev version != broken version. It just means 'use at your own risk'. Upon further review, there is ample and explicit Wiki documentation on the problem. If I had just read the Wiki before I upgraded my BOINC client....

Jim's got a good point, but it's too labor intensive for a problem that will have to sort itself out in the near future anyway.

I just didn't expect to get locked out of the science applications with a core client upgrade. Like I've said, it isn't a huge calamity or anything. I'm just a) curious if anyone knows when LHC will support 5.x clients, and b) letting the LHC group know that there are those of us out here who would like to see LHC support 5.x.

Cheers!

Well, i would like to know why you un-install this dev. version and install an older version.
You didn't keep your older Boinc client ?

an idea : when the screensaver is running, you can do a screenshoot and you will get your "certificate" ;)

If you want to run BOINC 5 try Einstein (currently the only public project accepting V5 clients as far as I'm aware). If you want to run LHC@Home run BOINC 4.xx.

or an older version (4.3x ; 4.25 ...)

Einstein has changed their deadline now to 14 days, so may be worth reconsidering.

Personally I prefer LHC but when it's out of work I crunch for Protein

Hope you find something to suit.

Well since the S4 (it seems) with Einstein the deadline is now to 7 days.

Waited also during "some time" but now i crunched my first sixtrack, soon my second.
Need now a validation so i'm waiting for the others crunchers. :D
Glad to see also that the compatibility with the Win9x OS is not broken and that LHC runs perfectly with the "old" CC's. :)
