You will need to register to see underground section and take part in some events (lecturers, workshops etc.). Last time registration was started about one month before Open Days.

Maybe it's an OT but it may be useful for many others. Do you know any cheap accomodation during Open Days near Geneva for a few students? We have thought about dormitory but we haven't got an enought big group.

There is over 124k sixtracktest tasks available and no in progress. What's wrong?

Okey, thank you! I can run Theory tasks :) I tried hard Atlas jobs but when I was turning off my computer (even if I was disconnecting the client), tasks broke down. At the beginning they seem good but after upgrading the app broken tasks slow down and down and at the end the server was stopping them. Even short suspending broke down them :/ So I wanted to make me sure that my computer doesn't do useless work.
Cheers!

Can I break them, can I turn off my computer? I get credit for every task but Atlas tasks used tu behave similarly. I don't want to waste electricity and computer's power.
I have doubts becauce theoretically there is the same checklist for Atlas and Theory jobs but for same time I was crunching Theory tasks without proxy configuration and I got credit.

Are Theory Simulation tasks so sensitive as ATLAS ones? I get credit every time but ATLAS did it, too for a long time :/

Everything seems right apart proxy. Do you know that pages:
http://www.freeproxylists.net/?c=&pt=3128&pr=HTTP&a%5B%5D=0&u=0
http://proxy-list.org/english/index.php
?
Which servers you recommend?
I'm sorry if it seems funny but I've never use proxy. I know that is theoretically safe but in the other hand if all data go throught one server it's easy to scan them.

But there haven't been any problems with them! In addition, I use to even turn off my computer without disconnecting the client and every task was crunched normally. So I think it is a recent problem with tasks. Moreover four from five of my current tasks have been just stopped by the server, so something is in the air ;)

All my recent tasks are calculates twice slower than expected (it means every two "real" seconds goes by one second in expected time) and rapidly slow down after 94-96% done. I'm not sure if I did everything from Yeti's checklist but there were never problems up now. I'm afraid there may be some problems with the tasks. Moreover I can't not to interrupt the tasks because I need to turn off my computer at night or when I leave home.
I'm sorry for mistakes, I'm not native English speaker.

Hi!
I've got probably untypical situation. A task is complited in about 40-50%, to the finishing is about 5-6 hours. Suddenly results are send, the next day the task is "complieted and validated". It happens almost every time. Is it normal or just my computer can't estimate? ;)

Hi All,
At the beginning I should tell that I don't know anything about virtualization so my question may seem very stupid. My English isn't impresive, too, I'm sorry.
I'm not sure how properly stop VB and turn off my computer. When I just turn off my computer, virtualisation doesn't stop running automatically. When I turned off the virtual machine at first, the simulation broke down. Have I done something wrong? I don't want to waste my computer's work again.

Thanks.
I tried hardly but I don't understand anything from the code's description. In fact my IT knowlege isn't stunning... But I've read "Sixtrack and numerical simulations" carefully. I think the "error-type files" may simulate diffrent unwanted magnetic effects. May I be right?
@bronco Does Virtual Box work well again? I've had it for a long time but it suddenly started damage every simulation. BTW, when I had VB my counted mainly SixTrack, too and computer just one time had some ATLAS simulation.

Hi!
I can see there is at least two tipe of simulations/computations in Sixtrack. The first ones, which my computer usually counts, have names like;
LHC_2015_LHC_2015_234_BOINC_errors_
And there is a long sequence of numbers, letters and that symbols: _ (I'm sorry, I'm not native and my dictionary doesn't know that word ;) )
I don't remaimber the name of the second type because I had them just one time but I'm almost sure that in their name was a word "Simulation". What's the diffrent between them (apart from time of computing)? And why I get almost only Sixtrack counts, despite in my preferences all tipe of applications selected are? It intrigues me but I can't find any detailed answer on the web page.
I'm sorry for mistakes.
Ola
