Heck the workunits went so fast only 2 of my 4 boxes got hooked up with work. Someone said 1500+ to crunch and it must of went in less than an hour.....If I had just left a little later this am.... would have loaded up the other 2 :( funny it was my fastest and slowest machine that got loaded lol

I was wondering if there are any current Alpha Testers purviewing the message boards if they can't let us know how the new workunits are running... probably many t-shirt receipients:) That way those of us hungry for work might get a glimse of whether it is going well or if they still see bugs. Is there a code of silence? Admin says stay mum on who is Alpha testing? Like I said I'm not looking for actual date of re-release of work(would be nice) just an indication overall of how it is going

John I believe validation has changed from a 2 quorum to a 3 quorum and now they average all 3 results to grant credit :)

For me Einstein goes to 99% uploads and no time differential. But have noticed this jumpback by a minute or two in Predictor, ver 4.22 used to go to 91% process at 97% for the 1-2 minutes upload and jump back to the 91% time value for final report. ver 4.24 now runs while at 100% jumps back to 97% to process, uploads and seems to report last time running at 100%.

And does the server notify you that your workunit(s) are trash? How would you know the difference from errant workunits from the project side? LOL sounds like democracy American style!

Yes Paul and how about adding my original thread to start this off,http://lhcathome.cern.ch/forum_thread.php?id=1226 I challenge all the "whiners" and non-whiners to post thier anomalous workunits instead of bashing admin and make it somewhat easier to perhaps isolate the problems. After all Isn't this what we are all after?

Basically I think I agree with you Paul. The project ought to go from a 2 quorum to a 3 quorum. Not only does it properly credit more results ,I believe it also helps the scientific validation. As in Einstein 3 makes the quorum and seems to work rather well. As long as a deadline that LHC gives you and as short a workunit as is typical, and as problematic as it seems the project is in supplying 5000 hosts with work this makes sense. On a side note it seems funny to me that these "family" projects ie:Boinc don't communicate better between each other as what works and what doesn't. I guess thats your burden Paul. lol

Take a look http://lhcathome.cern.ch/workunit.php?wuid=69598 Does this also happen more than just the 0 cpu time thus adding to the credit problem? I watched this 1 run and showed a cpu time when ready to report, ran normal... a lot don't show cpu time after normal run and runtime rotsaruck lol

As Poorboy said I also consider this a beta project and am in for the science. I applaud the adminisrators for continuing the project even under heavy fire by many users and will continue to crunch even though it looks like I'm only getting less than half of credit earned.Hopefully they will get this problem fixed sooner than later.

Yes I agree Aurora have increased time also seems best fix for problem at the moment.Got all mine through too ... strange how this occured with many at same time when 1st batch of ver4.64 didn't do this... Happy crunching... :)

I somewhat agree with what John Mcleod is saying. The 0 processor time showing after a pause resets to proper time once resume happens. Noooo this IS an LHC prob in some workunits I believe. Just found one resetting over and over deleted zip file and let LHC resend me the file 1st off as it seems some downloads may have been corruppted due to server overload. Instead of resetting anything I fooled my puters clock into running this unit w/o pause. Will see if it continues after new unit starts and I get rid of this 1. Only happenning on 1 of 4 machines. I do have save in memory enabled but since I downloaded BOINC 4.19 it always gives message removed from memory but workunits always ALWAYS restart properly after pause til this LHC work unit. Am running up to 4 projects each on 4 hosts I also think Aurora that this thread should be renamed to something like ahh workunits resetting to 0 after pause to get admins attention :) ahhh thus far after deleting zip and LHC resending the time to competion has come way down to puters "norm" was adding approx 1hr or 25% to last zipfile

And I have 411 pending credits most of them tunescans and I suspected the work possibly being released anyday is to validate our collective initial results before starting next new project:)
