Well I went sky-fishing and cast my line into that black hole and hooked him but the line I used just started stretching into another galaxy far far away.......so I had to cut my line with my LHC laser.

I had that same problem over at -dev with V. 61.25 but here they are working for me (V. 70.91)

I had a few hundred of those less than 10 second ones but just got a Run time 1 hours 23 min 16 sec and dozens more that look like they will run close to 90 minutes and more (93 credits)
(If you were here in the early days 2004 until we started VB you remember we had all of the Sixtracks running for a few seconds and around 1 credit each)

in my opinion, a flat, static credit ends up being the most fair approach. each WU should have a set value that is independent on the device in which it was run, which is not the case with CreditNew.
I agree - many other projects handle the credit this way. LHC is one of the few which do not.


YES I have always liked the way the Einstein Project works with the Credits

I have had many long Valid Theory's over the years but I always watch the running logs since you can get a Sherpa that will run 10 days and fail
( I save stuff) here is one from last June
Run time 8 days 18 hours 41 min 28 sec
CPU time 8 days 17 hours 14 min 35 sec
Validate state Valid
Credit 7,539.68
and many others but you can always abort if you want to run another project
