Could not find a Milestone thread
(I did look on all 21 pages, but could of missed it).
So I started this one.

I have passed 10,000 cobblestones/credits on LHC after a verrrry long time.

Have also passed 5,000 on Spinhenge,

Plus my computer that does LHC has passed 1,000,000 cobblestones/credits and that makes it the first one I have that has done this.

Have had to stop using the 3 computers I had access to at work as I no longer work there.
So down 3 x 2.4GHz Intel Celerons, down 1.5 GB ram and down 240 GB hard drives.
Drops my system to 5 Computers, 15 cores, 37.15 GHz, 11 GB ram, 2,160 GB HD

But as a new Christmas present for myself (it came after Christmas, but never mind), I have built another AMD Opteron 285, as I already had the chips.
This adds 4 x 2.6 GHz, 2 GB ram, 2 x 400 GB Hard Drives.

After droping the P4 2.53@2.75 Ghz back to 2.66GHz I have now dropped it back to standard 2.53Ghz.
This brings my small farm back up to:-
6 Computers (5 at my house),
Giving 19 CPU cores,
47.33 GHz,
13 GB RAM,
2,960 GB Hard Disk space.

Hope this is a good year for all.

It seems to me that any WU that has completed in such a short time that they generate a credit amount lower than 2 decimal places (as in 0.00236xxxxx) that the validator is unable then to grant any credit and validate the WU.
All the Pending WU's that I have are all of this type.

So could the pending problem be the validator is just not calibrated enough for this type of result where the claimed points are below 2 decimal places?

I now have 31 pending and all are showing the above problem (0.00xxxxxx claim).
Can these be validated or killed please?

Is anyone else having problems uploading results? I have been getting "Temporarily Failed upload" for a couple of days now.

There's quite a backlog of results to report.

I also had trouble accessing this web site earier (unreachable network within a ac.uk domain), but his now seems to be OK.

The project had to shut down due to electricity work being carried out over the week end at the University.

It is on the front page under "News".

I believe it is now back up as I am able to answer this post.

To Admin Staff, Please check out user "cars" (easy to find in Profiles).
He/she/it has created 15 profiles, so I assume 15 accounts as well and the included links are all about buying and selling cars. Nothing to do with this project.
No credit (not a real problem as often no work) but also no computers are recorded either.
Every one is a different country but all have the same links and information (or lack thereof) in them.

I have seen recently posts in the Boinc Mailing list about a Spam hit on Boinc projects, so this maybe the same thing.

If this is SPAM, then please remove.

Thanks Alex and Neasan, just curious if you have 'had a look' yet?
As yet it has not changed, does it take a few days perhaps to take effect?.

Err... no sadly I got distrated the other day.
It is done now!
Alex

G'Day LHC@home management team,
It has taken well over a year but thanks to the new management team, who seem to actually care about us volunteers, I am now the founder of my team.

A BIG THANKYOU Alex and also Neasan, for finally getting this sorted for me.

Now you just have to fixed up Krunchin Keith and that will then get two of us off your back.
Thanks again.

G'Day Neasan
Would this be able to be done before the new server code update or after?
I know how to wait (my original request was made on the 8 July 2006).
Just wondering now that you have kicked the project along a bit more.
It is not only for me as others would like this as well, as you can see from this thread.

Thanks Conan.

Hmm I asked Alex to do this and he said he had, may have been another person/team I'll check now

To the SysAdmin/Moderator or just a person with the nessecary power.
The team that I have joined has no founder as he passed away on the 16/8/05. I would like to take the team over with the hope of increasing it when I get the Web page thing sorted out. I have asked this of all the projects in the team as I participate in all of them. I am the only other member of the team.
So I am asking to be made the team Founder.
Team name is TeamAUS
Original founder is Craig Zuvich
My name is Conan
Country is Australia.

Can you please make me the Founder of TeamAUS.

Thank you for your time.

To the Project Administrators,
As this project is back on the go I would like to see if this matter I asked about over 70 days ago could be seen to.
As stated above I would very much like to made the founder of this team. I am the only active member since the founder passed away (16/8/05).
If this could be done it would be very much appreciated. Thank you for your time.

Time to bump this up.
Whilst you are working on the database, web page and such could you also have a look at this 200+ day old request of mine please.
I am still looking at being this teams founder as I am still the only active member (the only member seeing as the Founder passed away).
Thanks again for your time in this matter.

Just wondering how you are going with this Neasan? Your response on the 28/6/07 was that you were looking into it a bit further, so how goes it?
I know you have been busy but just curious how things are progressing.

Quote from PovAddict
Admins: Oh come on. I'm sure you have access to the database, what's so hard about it? It doesn't matter how many thousand things you have on your to-do list, it takes less than a minute to do:

UPDATE teams SET userid=54032 WHERE id=696;

54032 is Conan and 696 is TeamAUS.

Was wondering, are the works sent by @home sites Beowulf compatible?

The last time I checked (2004), OpenMosix was able to run Boinc.
At that time the boinc client felt that there was one big processor, so my two machines only ran one boinc task.

Well yeah, I so want to build myself a Beowulf and then let it crunch the numbers with its terabytes. But I have yet to find any good instructions about doing so... :P

The Boinc Project team looked at the "Super Host" idea with all other nodes passing data through just one node (the only one talking to the project), but went no further with it.

Some people/universities/schools using Boinc have been using a programme called CONDOR that does something like this with software so that only one computer actually does the communicating with the project but I think each node does get its own id from the project as per normal.

I have also heard of a user who currently is crunching on QMC@home who uses scrips to make a cluster of computers pass all data through the one node, just check the Top Computer list in QMC and look at the number one computer with an RAC of over 60,000 on a listed 2 core computer.

This may be of help.

With Einstein, Cosmology and QMC on the latest Server Version of 601 (also Seti).
Superlink on Server Version 511.
And Rosetta, Ralph, The Lattice Project and CPDN all on 509.
You get poor old LHC bringing up the rear on Server Version 505.

That version number doesn't really tell you much. It's actually the client version number that was available along with the server code... Have a look at the revision number on server status page instead. It's only on newer versions, so it's not on LHC, and some projects with customized status pages don't have it (like SETI). However, by looking somewhere else I can tell you SETI has revision 13586 or higher.

OK understood.
Thanks PovAddict, but either way it needs to be updated.

Fatal error: Call to undefined function gd_info() in /srv/httpd/lhcathome.cern.ch/lhcathome/html/inc/image.inc on line 7

This is still happening, I still can't upload an Avatar and I am getting the same error message.

Got one here, trying to create a profile with a pic (Win XP Home SP2):

Fatal error: Call to undefined function imageCreateFromJPEG() in /srv/httpd/lhcathome.cern.ch/lhcathome/html/inc/profile.inc on line 322

edit: tried to update my profile and add a pic, same result.
Also escape characters were added before the single quotes in my profile, each edit I have to remove them. Not really an error (I'm old enough to understand the need for escape chars) but something to be aware of.

This is happening again, I am unable to upload an Avatar.

I don't suppose anyone has ideas about the need to login everytime? I still have to enter my email and password eaach time I power up my PC but this is the only Project I have to do that for - I didn't need to do it before the redesign.

I'm not having that problem; my account stays logged in even after re-starting the computer. However, I'm using ie7 on Win XP -- other configurations my react differently to the redesign.

Also not happening on AMD Opteron with Firefox and Linux Fedora Core 3, account stays open all the time (many weeks).

In total not a huge amount of cobblestones but they have been pending since the end of April and it would be nice to clean things up in preparation of getting any new work.
