Because none of my 2 hosts had more than 1.5 days for returning the task (Check here) , but they have 2.07 and 2.17). 2 Days before they had 2.07 and 1.81 with 3 pending. 2 pending are done by slower users and that gave for that computer then 2.17 (before it was 1.81). Why? It seems to me that the turnaround time is calculated when both tasks are returned ((Time from last WU returned(of the 2 crunchers)) - (Time when the WU was sent)) and that is incorrect! My correct turnaround Time is ((time when it is back)-(time when it was sent)) Sorry it's hard for me to explain, I hope you unterstand what I want to say^^ greetz littleBouncer BTW: both machines have now work to crunch^^

And considering over 5,000 tasks dissapeared in less than a day, there is ample computers to handle resends. Over 5,000 in less than a day is impressive. If anybody wants to get in on the resends all they need to do is decrease their cache and get their turnaround time below 1.5 days, easily done. Decreasing alone don't help. You have to detach and then reattach after decreasing the cache. Because the former turnaround time is the parameter in use!!

For that I set connect to internet every: 2 days and cache of 0.25 -> that will sure return the work within 2.1 day. Before I wrote my first post here, I tried (try) to get work with following preferences : connect to internet every: 0 days and cache at 0.25 and I suspended all other projects except LHC 1.0, then I updated my BM-Client, with the result: message from server: no work sent. It could be something like, there is only linux work left and you have windows, or the other way around. My Boinc edition is 6.2.19 and has successfully received points in the past so I do not think this is a Boinc edition problem. If you look at the work unit below, all the results returned have an outcome of client error: http://lhcathome.cern.ch/lhcathome/workunit.php?wuid=2983267 Here are some of the Boinc editions that have failed 5.4.9, 5.10.28, 5.10.45, 6.2.16, 6.2.18, 6.2.19. Application versions 4.66 and 4.67. This needs looking into otherwise there is going to be plenty of wasted computation hours. Rob I agree! Sure is better to speed-up the server-side; when 3 sucess results are returned, then the other work is not necessary. But you can do this by sending out only 3 WU !! (or 4 , for assurance, when one fails) My reasons (for this protest) were: 1.-I want to reach 100,000 credits, as fast as possible. 2.-After a long time not seeing LHC-screensaver, I was happy to see it for estimated 4 days, but then the half work was done...... greetz littleBouncer (no offend was taken!!!)

I got alot which I didn\'t need to crunch Examples: wu 2884613 wu 2884618 wu 2884886 wu 2885114 wu 2885306 etc.... This happened after I reported 10 finished WUs manually. Next time I will set the manager of \"no more work\" from LHC, when I reached daily-quota, and contact the server when all WUs from LHC is done (not earlier !!!), so I can crunch all work which was send to me... greetz littleBouncer
