When Predictor upgraded, the site was down for the better part of 4 days. A server side upgrade is always trickier than a client upgrade.

I still have a PII-350 that crunches. The lates LHC units that go the distance take about 26-27 hours if executed by themselves. If I share that machine with SETI, it feels like it's never going to be finished before the deadline, especially since you cannot leave the result in memory when you switch.

I also have 4 WU in pending mode with the same characteristics: validated using 3 results, results 4 and 5 are still pending. All results were received before the deadline.

From the looks of it, sixtrack does not do any periodic saves. Therefore whenever you unload the application from memory, all the work done is "forgotten".

The other BOINC applications, at least the other 3 I subscribe to, are doing periodic saves. There is some loss of work, but at least itr is not 1 or 2 hours but just a matter of minutes.

Hopefully, the save feature will be added to the application in the very near future.
