"The Big Band Machine" - Is it about the search for the Glen Miller particle? :)
But seriously, the the Big Bang Machine is a very good program and well worth watching.

Well, I guess that that would be appropriate, considering that Glen Miller is lost somewhere in the English Channel.

I now have a four-digit RAC figure for LHC, and I'm about to go into a six-digit figure for total LHC credits.

Not so long ago, I thought that that could never be possible.

Here is a YouTube submission, describing the thruth behind LHC. First I suffered a paroxysm of rage; this man raped logic and science to its core. Second I laughed a bit after calming down, ensued by a grief/rage induced stroke.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lt1Yo610lG0

I don\'t know if this analogy is fitting, but I\'ll try my best: If science was the Bible this man shredded it, soaked it in kerosene, set it on fire and then pissed on its ashes; he also assumes that all the knowledge in that book is somehow transferred on to him and he is able to give his professional interpretation of the contents without having ever read anything in an appropriate context.

Just watch the video. This guy is delusional, no beyond that.

Methinks that he needs to put his tin-foil hat on.

a) We have a second project it's called the Grid. The LHC's computing needs are being fulfilled by that IF we can get something ported to BOINC we will but I reiterate we have no money. Also it's not just the download are you all willing to have large, hard drives, massive broadband connections and run only Scientific Linux (CERN edition) and not use your machines for anything else?

Sure. How much space do you need?

£150,000

That is supposed to be WHAT???Price of HDD or just money ,project is missing...

:-)

The approximate amount of money needed to fund someone to actually do everything everyone wants done (that is with all full economic costings etc etc)

Have you thought about hooking with Cafepress to sell some LHC swag? That could net you a few pounds, at least.
