some of the ones i aborted (sorry) should be back in the mix now
boinc time to finish 13 hrs time taken 60+hrs
managed to get 2 done had to send the rest back as no way i could have finished
the rest
are they all as big as that ? as i would like to do more lhc work but seems a waste to get 6 w/u and send 4 back
i used to crunch here a long time ago ,
me and my pc must be getting older and slower :-)
boincing must be a young mans game

as below
plus
when they create a black hole that will consume the world all the et`s that seti is trying to find will pick up on there version of einstein a huge gravitational wave from the milky way
and so we could help some alien just like us discover a new black hole lol

checked the progect last night NO NEW WORK 10 W/U IN PROGRESS (roughly)

checked the project this morning NO NEW WORK 10308 W/U IN PROGRESS ?????

WOW THAT WILL TEACH ME TO GO TO SLEEP

NEXT TIME IT GETS LOW I WILL SET BOINC TO ALLOW NEW TASKS EARLIER even if it takes a week or so for new work to arrive and adds extra a little work to the server if that is the only way i can get work so be it

this project never used to be like this i used to be able to run 16 projects and get work on a steady basis i.e at least one w/u a day for about a week or so until it ran dry
oh well the good old days are now gone

unleash the (w/u)HOGS of war

there is always next month or two or three
just have to keep checking back

:-(
as yoda says there are plenty of other projects and i still have work to crunch but i have been checking back here daily to check for new work
just think i wasted my time the last couple of weeks

rant over NOW i feel better lol

have just found this on cpdn message board

* Windows 'time sync' messages have been mentioned recently as causing 'process exited with zero status' crashes. Although these are relatively benign, it may be worth trying to reduce their frequency.

have disabled it now and will see how it goes
