I don't think it's even per computer, but per IP address. Only my X2 got a work unit which crashed as the x64 client isn't working properly. My P4 has had absolutely nothing.

Because some projects have a huge speed up because of the 64 bit Linux... ;)

True :P

:( My protons crashed on take off ;)
Regards
Masud.

I've just posted this in the Questions & Answers area under Windows as I'm getting this on both of my machines too.
5) Questions and Answers : Windows : Constant "last request too recent" error (Message 18025)
Posted 12 Oct 2007 by Profile Seventh Serenity
Post:
Both of my machines have been getting this error constantly. BOINC backs off for a minute or two then tries again. Same error, and BOINC waits longer. Keeping repeating this...

...now my machines are waiting around 1 hour. I am not manually updating the project - BOINC is doing everything.

What's going on? Why can't I get any work units? :/

why didnt you add the 64Bit linux platform at the same time?

That may be more difficult to do. Various Linux distros do not come with the 32-bit libraries installed by default so the OS will not be able to run the 32-bit client and will throw errors.

I got 1 WU before the system went berzerk and the WU finished within 1 second. I hope this isn't the client as it's going to cause a lot of grief otherwise.

9) Message boards : Number crunching : LHC@home Alpha petition (Message 14863)

I think the petition is a very bad idea. LHC will have the alpha project closed for a very good reason, such as having enough users to continue testing the software before it is released into the standard LHC@Home project.

Whenever there's work available I can't download it either, since I can't download the Linux sixtrack client.

Post:
Just for fun, I've tossed together a page displaying graphs and stats for the LHC/Boinc servers and daemons. About the same as my Seti page, just re-tooled for LHC.
As is the case with most all graph watching, it's about as excitng as watching paint dry, so I recommend having pizza and your favorite beverage on hand if you visit the page to avoid slipping into a coma. Also, since I just started collecting the LHC data about 24 hours ago, the graphs for longer time periods (48 hours, 96 hours, 7 day, etc) won't change until enough time has passed to propagate those charts with data.... whoa... talk about something to look forward to!

LHC@Home Server Stats & Graphs

Nicely done!

When prompted, enter http://lhcathome.cern.ch/lhcathome/

Is this an error or not?

Glad to see LHC is nearly ready to go again ! ;o)

Both http://lhcathome.cern.ch/ and http://lhcathome.cern.ch/lhcathome/ work. I've tried them my self.

Tomorrow we will correct the many errors caused by missing or unsigned application files - the cause of this has been found.

Other problems like the missing avatars, and bad behaviour of the forum presentation (e.g. resetting to Least Recent First) will also be fixed.

Ben

Thanks! =)

you are double posting a lot
problems with the enter?

It's actually a bug in the forum software. When you click "Post Reply", the box to enter your message doesn't close.

Still getting the "file missing" error message.

Aside from a ton of error messages, there was nothing to get. Chances are this was a short test run (which the system failed), and more work will be forthcoming when it's fixed.

Let's hope this run fixes the problems.

We are looking for the missing files problem - most other problems seem to have been solved.

Keep the faith...

Ben Segal / LHC@home

maybe you should reset the project
or you should detach and attach again.

Already tried. Still getting the file missing error.
