when more work will be coming?
(Message 21301)
Posted 10 Mar 2009 by Van Durrett Post: The administrators have stated that they are not planning on having any of the data generated by the LHC crunched through LHC@Home, due to the download size and OS requirements. They may have other projects run through CERN available at some point. I see, thanks. So is there no hope for this project to become a full fledged distributed computing project? |

when more work will be coming?

Posted 5 Mar 2009 by Van Durrett Post: Usually we find out there is more work by seeing it in our queues. Thank you. I\'m hoping/assuming that when the LHC starts up in full later this year it\'ll generate some more work, lots more. It may be of a different nature though. |

WUs returning zero credit despite successful completion
(Message 21267)
Posted 26 Feb 2009 by Van Durrett Post: I don\\\'t know if this has been addressed before but I recently successfully computed a work unit and received zero credit for it. On the WU page it lists ~10 other hosts that tried to compute it but resulted in a \\\"client error.\\\" What\\\'s up with this? Is my aging 2.8ghz P4 more capable than other computers?! application SixTrack |

Realistic Screensaver
(Message 21257)
Posted 25 Feb 2009 by Van Durrett Post: I\'m with the other two guys, the screensaver doesn\'t even really represent what the WU is doing. Don\'t get me wrong, it\'s cool as hell, but more information on what is actually being done/calculated/analyzed. I read somewhere that a different screensaver is/was being developed and I was wondering on the status of that side project. |

Posted 18 Feb 2009 by Van Durrett Post: Usually we find out there is more work by seeing it in our queues. Is there any other way to know? An ETA of any kind? The people who administer this program I\'m sure have some idea of when stuff might be coming down the pipelines. |

Posted 18 Feb 2009 by Van Durrett Post: It would be nice if a note about this was put on the front page. I signed up and could not figure out what was wrong until I checked the server status. |
